The Hobart City Redevelopment Authority approved several routine administrative items and updates during its meeting.
The authority granted a property-owner request to remove a locust tree in the public easement at 7798 Tanager Street. A resident speaking for the owners said an arborist concluded removal was acceptable and that the owners would cover removal costs; the resident said, "They're gonna take it down on their dime." The motion to approve removal at the owners' expense was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The authority approved a refund of building permit number 2657 for Windham Nation after a motion and second. A separate motion approved staff’s recommendation to release the performance bond for Lumen's Logistics down to a maintenance bond once the maintenance bond is posted; staff advised they had reviewed the site and supported the conversion to a maintenance bond.
On an unsafe-building matter at 300 West Old Bridge Road, staff reported the owner (Mr. Cox) had submitted paperwork for a planning-commission hearing on a one-lot subdivision and indicated he planned to demolish the house if the planning commission approved the subdivision. The authority set the unsafe-building hearing over to April 15 to allow the planning process to proceed.
All the above motions were recorded as voice votes in the audio transcript; the chair called for favor and reported "Aye" responses with no recorded opposition. The meeting adjourned after these items.
