The board also approved potential overnight travel for varsity football, cheer, band and cross-country teams for the 2024-25 school year, and separately approved a senior Mackinaw trip scheduled for May 2025. Each of those motions was moved by President Conley and carried unanimously; supporters for individual motions included Secretary T. Beilby, Trustee J. Dykstra and Vice President V. Tuinstra where noted in the record.
Board action was procedural and taken on the administration's recommendation; no dissenting votes or recorded objections appeared in the meeting minutes. The approvals mean the district may proceed with hiring and planning subject to any routine administrative steps (contracts, background checks, parental permission and trip logistics).
