When asked about the daily rate, Weber confirmed a $204 daily bed rate for Nebraska placements and recommended board approval, citing prompt payments and no operational concerns with Nebraska placements.
The board moved and approved the contract renewal (motion by Nelson, second by Bittinger) without further comment. Weber noted he is evaluating different rate approaches for Iowa counties but recommended the county continue the existing arrangement with Nebraska at the current rate.
The renewal was approved by unanimous vote.
