At the May 13 meeting the Westport Historical Commission reported that several certificates of non‑applicability (CNAs) and administrative approvals had been completed by the chair and clerk under delegated authority.
Items reported included: 2001 Main Road (Kristen and Christian Henningsen) — repairs to a second‑floor rear deck; 1881 Main Road (Corrine and Lewis Frasier) — replacement of four rear windows to match existing; 2042 Main Road (John, Perry and Patrick Long) — replacement of rotted wood gutters with fiberglass gutters of similar profile; 1919 Main Road — replacement of Andersen double doors with similar Pella doors on the rear not visible from a public way; and 1913 Drift Road (Russell Baker) — repair and repainting of trim and doors. Commissioners said most work was like‑for‑like and of minimal impact; visibility from public vantage points was discussed in a few cases.
Commissioners requested that completed projects be photographed and placed in the commission’s files when appropriate and noted that the building department is the final authority for permit compliance on some items.
