The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors approved a renewal of the county's contract with the state of Nebraska to house youth at the Woodbury County Juvenile Detention Center.
Ryan Weber presented the contract renewal, noting the agreement had been rewritten but contained no substantive changes and Nebraska has been a reliable payer. When a board member asked about the rate, a county official confirmed the "204 daily bed rate." Supervisor Nelson moved approval; Supervisor Bittinger seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
Weber said the county is considering rate adjustments for Iowa counties but had no concerns about continuing the arrangement with Nebraska. The board recorded no dissent and approved the renewal on a 5-0 vote.
