Board grants tenure to dozens of teachers and approves administrative appointments

The Ossining Union Free School District recognized and approved tenure for numerous instructional and administrative staff across elementary, middle and high schools during the June 10 meeting. After a motion to move items on administrative and professional staff tenure forward, the board acknowledged dozens of educators and leaders who reached tenure milestones this year, with principals and supervisors highlighting classroom practice, leadership, equity work and student outcomes.

The board also approved an administrative appointment: following an internal screening and walkthrough process, Miss Mila Bravo was appointed assistant principal of Brookside School. District leaders described Ms. Bravo as an instructional leader with more than 13 years of elementary experience across general education, special education, bilingual instruction and instructional coaching.

Superintendent Mary Fox Alter and building principals praised the newly tenured staff for instructional leadership, work with multilingual learners and social‑emotional programs.
