Separately, Council member Duane Perkins moved that the committee approve the Government I budget as presented and send it to the full City Council for consideration; that motion, seconded by Flanagan, also carried unanimously. The committee did not record a roll-call tally in the transcript, but the minutes state both motions were carried unanimously.
The committee’s review included department-level clarifications such as a correction to the Probate Court Office Equipment total and confirmations from department heads about reserve funding and fee contributions. Chair Joseph Britton confirmed that the Probate Court Office Equipment total will be corrected to $500 in the final budget.
The committee did not take additional amendments to the Government I package at the meeting and concluded its review. The budget will proceed to the full City Council for final consideration and any further amendments.
