St. Martinville obligates local matching funds for Durand Drainage Improvement Grant

The St. Martinville City Council on Dec. 1 unanimously adopted a resolution obligating local funds to meet the matching and over-allocated funds requirements of the Durand Drainage Improvement Grant (State of Louisiana 50-MQ5-20-01).
The adopted resolution requires the municipality to provide a 25% local match of total project costs and authorizes the mayor to execute applications, agreements and other documents necessary to obtain and administer the Capital Outlay Grant. The resolution states obligated funds will be appropriated from the General Fund as required by the grant program.
Councilwoman Carol Frederick moved to adopt the resolution; the motion carried unanimously. The resolution affirms the city’s commitment to complete the drainage improvement project and maintain improvements in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements.
