New Marlborough Conservation Commission approves minutes, schedules site visits and reviews mail

The Town of New Marlborough Conservation Commission used its April 16 meeting to handle routine business in addition to permitting and enforcement items.
Commissioners approved minutes from a site visit on April 9 and the March 19 meeting (motions carried 5-0-0). The Commission accepted a withdrawal from the applicant on a proposed rare-species habitat restoration project on Konkapot Road because of erosion concerns and the need to redesign. Agent Mary Summers noted the governor’s order extending wetlands permits through February 2027, preserving the validity of existing orders of conditions; Will Hosier had requested an extension for a Koerner/Samberg matter and staff cited that extension.
The Commission scheduled a site visit for 186 Knight Road (Haiss) on May 14 at 11:00 a.m. and advised the contractor for the Hartt barn project to submit an amendment if the barn’s size or location changes. On the Rome property at 77 Laurel Banks Road the file and certificate-of-compliance recordings were noted in mail and staff will follow up on required annual water-quality reports for CMC Berkshires. The Commission also scheduled a presentation of regulations by David Cameron for April 27 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
