Council approves multimodal center land deals; withdraws redundant option

Johansy Christie, city attorney, explained that item 6D (an earlier option) was withdrawn as 6E and 6F now address the county’s purchase and option requirements for block 65. “All three items are related to the multimodal transportation center,” Christie said, asking the council to withdraw the redundant item and approve the substituted agreements already adopted by the county board.
Council waived the normal rules to allow same‑day action and approved the amended purchase agreement (item 6E) and the option (item 6F) after motions to amend and roll‑call votes. Both votes were unanimous.
