Phil Walker of Thomason and Associates presented the Town's draft Historic Design Guidelines at the April 15 council meeting and reviewed the multi-phase timeline that has brought the project to phase five. Walker said the guidelines are intended to provide flexible direction for property work and noted they do not regulate paint colors.
An open house for the guidelines was listed in the meeting materials as occurring from 5 to 6 p.m. Council asked questions about specifics of the chapters and next steps in the review process.
Council received the presentation and will continue to consider the guidelines through the public-review process and forthcoming meetings and outreach.
