Royer provided preliminary cost figures: purchase of 12 kits at about $350 per kit (approximately $4,200) and ongoing service costs estimated between $50 and $150 per kit, leading to a projected annual cost near $2,500 for 24 kits. The vendor would coordinate with Facilities staff during routine visits to maintain compliance.
Board members received the information; the transcript records discussion of liability risks if kits do not meet standards but no procurement or contract award occurred at this session. Staff were not directed to execute the program at this meeting.
