Morristown council approves $60,000 OCRA grant application to study water, wastewater systems

The evaluation, if funded, would support planning for system improvements and capital needs; the council did not specify a project timeline or a required local match during the meeting. Street, water and wastewater staff also reported that a pump failure at Well #6 is covered under warranty, a point the council noted as part of ongoing system maintenance discussions.
The council’s formal action was limited to approving submission of the grant application; any award, scope of work or required local contribution would be subject to later council review and approval.
