East Longmeadow Board of Health grants 30-day extension for repairs at 41 Pleasant Street

Tammy Spencer, the town’s health director, read a written statement from tenant Tedi-Jo Eaton recounting continued concerns about conditions at the property and what Eaton described as insufficient follow-through on directives the board issued in December 2025. Inspector Alix Roncarati told the board that she and the building inspector conducted a recent visit and documented what had been corrected and what remained outstanding.
Property owner Angelyn Noel responded to the inspection findings with a plan to complete remaining items and requested an additional 30 days. Chair Christine Johnston moved to grant the extension, Rebecca Torcia seconded, and the board approved the motion 3-0. The extension was set to expire on March 28, 2026.
The board took this action as part of its ongoing code-enforcement responsibilities; no fines or further formal penalties were recorded in the meeting minutes. The health department’s written tenant statement referenced the board’s December 19, 2025 directives as the basis for the follow-up review.
The board’s next scheduled meeting is March 3, 2026 at 3:30 p.m., at which the board could revisit compliance status if staff reports outstanding work remains. The board adjourned at the end of the session after handling this and other routine items.
