Dan Buchholz, Marquette County IT director, presented an artificial-intelligence policy to the Executive & Finance Committee and said Corporation Counsel had reviewed and edited the draft. Buchholz told the committee the county currently holds 20 Copilot AI licenses.
Mike Raddatz moved and Lance Achterberg seconded a motion to approve the AI policy and forward it to the County Board for final consideration; the committee voted to approve the motion. The minutes record the committee's action as "Motion carried." Corporation Counsel Sean Griffin reviewed legal considerations for enterprise AI use and assisted with edits to the policy before the committee vote.
