Board members used the meeting’s other-business portion on June 24 to publicly thank Chair Young for long service on the Board of Zoning Appeals; members said he began service around 2004 and praised his steady leadership. Chair Young thanked his colleagues.
The board then considered a staff request to amend next month’s calendar to move the July meeting to Wednesday, July 29 so the mayor would have additional time to appoint a fifth board member and the full five-member board could be present when the board selects a new chair. A motion to change the meeting date passed unanimously by roll call.
No additional business was held and the board adjourned.
