The director’s evaluation paperwork reported a board observational mean score of 4.82 out of 5 and an administrator survey mean of 4.92 out of 5. Director Duke said the final evaluation will include achievement and testing data from the Tennessee Department of Education before a final score is calculated.
Enrollment presenter Mr. Roger said period‑nine total enrollment was up by 21 students compared with period one and average daily attendance rose by 0.3 percentage points; he cautioned these are unofficial figures pending state reconciliation. Mr. Roger said truancy (defined as 10+ unexcused absences) decreased by 75 students.
Staff also reported summer school, a 16‑day program, concluded successfully; presenters and board members said summer‑school average daily participation was about 900 students (up from roughly 800 the prior year). The board approved the April revenue and expenditure report and a pair of small FY26 budget amendments: a $10,000 transportation reallocation for end‑of‑year invoices tied to homeless/foster‑student transportation and physicals, and a $19,200 reallocation within summer‑school funds to move funds from salaries to staff development per recent state guidance. Staff said both amendments were funded from identified savings and involve no programmatic changes or impact on fund balance.
