The Murfreesboro City School Board on June 23 voted to adopt its Strategic Plan for 2026–2031, a five‑year blueprint staff and trustees said will guide district budgeting, priorities and performance monitoring.
Director Duke told the board the plan was developed beginning in August 2025, with district goals established in October and input gathered through May from teachers, administrators, department heads and parent groups. Staff said the final draft reflects that engagement and will be used to align budgeting and to measure progress toward district goals.
Board members praised the staff work and expressed the expectation that the plan will be a "living document" the board consults regularly. The board approved the plan by voice vote and staff said implementation and monitoring steps will follow in the 2026–27 year.
