District reports declines in reportable incidents in Jan.–June 2025 SSDS filing

The Toms River Regional School District presented its Student Safety Data System (SSDS) report for the period Jan. 1–June 30, 2025, and the board moved to accept the report during its Dec. 17 meeting.
District staff reported a 9% decrease in reportable offenses compared with the November 2024 filing, a 12% reduction in physically aggressive behavior, and a 13.5% decrease in confirmed harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB) incidents. For the Jan.–June 2025 reporting window staff listed specific counts: 115 acts of violence, 23 incidents of damage to property, 13 weapons incidents, 57 substance-abuse incidents and 45 confirmed HIBs, for a total of 253 reportable incidences.
