Mayor says Spring Hill should prioritize Port Royal and Buckner Road projects after GNRC funding exclusion

As a result, he said the City should plan to fully fund Buckner Road.
Fitterer indicated support for prioritizing Port Royal Road and Buckner Road projects and suggested using impact fees as a funding mechanism. He also proposed reclassifying Jim Warren Road back to an arterial classification as part of planning discussions.
The Mayor additionally reported that an annexation bill he characterized as opposing local interests was heard in a House committee and narrowly failed by a 2-19 margin. The Board did not take formal action at the session; the discussion establishes priorities staff should consider as they prepare project funding plans and capital improvements programming.
