The county registrar of voters certified there are no registered voters within the proposed territory. Following the hearing, the council approved Action Item C calling a special election for the district. Assistant City Clerk reported, “There are 3 ballots. All 3 ballots are in favor of the formation of the Newhouse 71 CFD.”
Later motions (Items D and F) declaring the election results and directing recordation of the notice of special tax lien were approved by the same 4-0 vote. The council then read and approved Item E, an ordinance levying the special tax within Community Facilities District No. 71, Newhouse Phase 2.
The council’s actions complete the local approvals recorded on the meeting agenda; staff indicated that the special election and subsequent recordation steps will follow.
