Board member Gary Thomas said the upgrades “do make a difference and reduces power outages,” while resident Jason Caulfield expressed concern about the additional poles planned for Reservoir Road. The board voted to move forward only on petition 1A7A7MT, described in meeting materials as a single pole to serve a new house on Marcy Road.
Without an Eversource representative present to clarify the scope and necessity of the broader pole work, the board chose to defer the Reservoir Road petitions so the utility can explain its proposed upgrades in person. No formal motion record beyond the unanimous approval of petition 1A7A7MT was included in the meeting minutes.
Next steps: the Selectboard asked staff to invite an Eversource representative to a future meeting to provide detail on planned midspan poles and service upgrades before taking further action on the Reservoir Road petitions.
