CHA hears capital-project updates, discusses EV charging site; HUD Section 8 shortfall funding approved

Executive Director Jennifer Polito reported on capital projects and recent administrative activity at the May 7, 2026 Concord Housing Authority meeting.

Polito told the board that project updates and the final audit were included in meeting materials; the FY25 audit showed no exceptions. She reported the authority will participate in Student Day on May 22 and that the Common Back Door Replacement and Exterior Porches project held a pre-construction meeting on May 20. She also stated the authority received HUD Section 8 assistance shortfall funding approval; the amount was not specified in the materials or discussion.

On capital projects, board members noted that bids for the Powder Mill bathroom project were due on May 8. The meeting recorded a discussion that a vendor has been in talks with the town about siting an electric vehicle charging station; the parking lot at 90 Stow was identified as a feasible option with town support, while Stow Street parking raised concerns about tree impacts and pickup/drop-off at the Hunt Gym Recreation Center.
