Commission asks First Selectman to relay culvert concerns to DOT ahead of 2027 road work

Commission member Susan Kelsey said she had discussed the commission’s concerns with First Selectman Barger, who asked that the commission provide a written communication outlining the issue so he could pass it along to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. Mark Burdick moved that Kelsey prepare a draft communication for member review; the motion was seconded by Ellery Sinclair and approved unanimously.
The commission took no immediate land‑use enforcement action at the meeting; members requested the communication to ensure DOT receives local observations and concerns prior to its scheduled work next year.
