Duchesne County commissioners on June 22 approved a set of Board of Equalization valuation adjustments that altered tax calculations on several parcels, and they authorized routine financial items including vouchers and payroll.
Clerk-Auditor Chelise Curtis described multiple BOE adjustments. One parcel needed market value added ($31,350 new total), increasing tax from $436.30 to $490.00. Several other parcels were reclassified from secondary to primary residence after signed declarations arrived after final 2026 values were set; those changes left assessed value unchanged but reduced the tax liabilities for the owners (transcript lists old and new tax amounts for each parcel). Commissioner Jeff Chugg moved to approve the BOE valuation changes; Commissioner Tracy Killian seconded the motion and the commission approved the adjustments unanimously.
Deputy Clerk-Auditor Oaklee Larsen presented vouchers for June 22, 2026 (check numbers 173192 through 173315) totaling $773,077.36; Human Resources Payroll & Benefits Administrator Jamie Park presented payroll for the period ending June 6, 2026, totaling $624,943.98 for 246 employees. Commissioners approved both the vouchers and payroll as presented.
