Duchesne County ratifies $68,329.89 electrical bill for new wash plant, approves two approach permits

The Duchesne County Commission on June 22 ratified payment of an SCI Automation, Inc. invoice for electrical work at a new county wash plant and approved two approach permits, actions the panel approved unanimously.
Public Works Director Mike Casper told commissioners the new wash plant required power installation. Commissioner Jeff Chugg moved to ratify the electrical work and to pay the invoice from Fund 41 for $68,329.89; Commissioner Tracy Killian seconded the motion, and Commissioners Chugg, Killian and Chairman Greg Miles voted in favor. The commission recorded the payment as approved.
Public Works Deputy Director Clint Curtis then presented two approach permits: A26-046, a residential approach, and A26-047, a commercial approach that had already been constructed and must be brought up to standard. Commissioner Killian moved to approve both permits as presented; Commissioner Chugg seconded the motion and the three commissioners voted aye.
The approvals were part of routine infrastructure and maintenance business the commission handled in its regular session. No dissent or abstentions were recorded.
