Dennis Select Board fills multiple committee seats, including Affordable Housing Trust and shellfish alternate

The Dennis Select Board on June 30 appointed a slate of volunteers to town committees, filling openings on advisory councils and regulatory boards.
Bethany Kassinguda of West Dennis was appointed to the 1865 West Dennis Graded Schoolhouse committee for a term ending March 31, 2029, after the board moved, seconded and voted unanimously. Jennifer Goodwin of Dennisport was appointed to the Advisory Committee on Disabilities and separately named an alternate to the West Dennisport/West Dennis Advancement Committee; both motions carried unanimously.
The board appointed Paolo Rodriguez, who described experience in project management and a stated interest in housing, to the Affordable Housing Trust for a term expiring March 31, 2028. Elias Baer, another applicant, was encouraged to continue attending trust meetings and to apply for future openings.
Other appointments approved include Andrew Platt to the Conservation Commission (full term), Anne Allen Lawler and Alan Tuttle to the Council on Aging (full terms), Trudy Bergman to the library board (full term) with Polina Polinski as alternate, Michael McGee to a full-term planning-board seat and Polinski as a planning alternate, and Jim Zinnell to an alternate position on the Tourism Committee and the Zoning Board of Appeals. Paolo Rodriguez was also appointed as an alternate to the Zoning Bylaw Study Committee.
The Shellfish Committee alternate vacancy drew two candidates—Dylan Jordan and Dennis McGee. After discussion the board nominated and appointed Dennis McGee to the alternate position (term to expire 03/31/2027); the vote carried with one abstention.
Several motions were recorded as unanimous, and the board repeatedly praised applicants’ community service and local ties. The chair reminded appointees that a town-administrator email will follow with swearing-in procedures and open-meeting-law guidance.
