Caseville says it applied for EGLE water loan; sewer project 'mostly' finished, DPW supervisor reports

DPW Supervisor Troy Hartz told the Caseville City Council on Nov. 10 that the city has submitted an Intent to Apply to Michigan’s EGLE Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) for water system issues and is awaiting EPA review to determine the final project scope and cost.
"We submitted an Intent to Apply to EGLE's CWSRF for the water issues. We are still waiting on the EPA to determine the final scope and cost of the solution," Hartz said. The council received the report as part of its written reports and voted to file those reports (5-0).
On related infrastructure work, Hartz said the sewer project was "mostly" finished, with only a few items left to complete. Council member John Tait asked for confirmation of the project's status; Hartz replied the remaining work was limited to a few final tasks.
No formal funding decision or loan approval was made at the meeting; the statement records the city’s application intent and leaves the final scope, cost and timeline dependent on external review and approvals by EGLE and the EPA. The council filed the reports and moved on to appointments and routine business.
