Police Chief Deborah Hopkins told the Caseville City Council on May 12 that there have been attempts to merge the city police department with the township and that a ride-along is scheduled to begin next week.
Councilmember Kenneth Rathje discussed a review of the current budget for police part-time staffing, and public commenter Ray Quiel thanked the Police Committee for finding funds to keep part-time officers on patrol.
