The Sanac County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 17 unanimously approved a slate of appointments and routine finance items and appointed Greg Holman as the county’s Emergency Management director.
During the meeting the board confirmed Joel Wyatt as a general public member of the Board of Public Works for a three‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2027; Todd Hillman as a citizen‑at‑large to the Central Dispatch Advisory Board for a two‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2026; Bill Gray to the Drug Task Force Board for a two‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2026; David MacArthur to the Land Bank Authority for a three‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2027; and An Soul to the Save Partnership Millage Board for a four‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2028. Each appointment was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
The board also approved routine finance motions: payment of the current claims report dated Dec. 10, 2024, adoption of listed budget amendments and transfers, and approval of additional general fund checks charged to November 2024. Portions of the accounts‑and‑checks totals were not clearly audible in the transcript; the board record reflects the motions as approved but the precise dollar totals are not specified in the available record.
On a green‑sheet addition added to the agenda, commissioners appointed Greg Holman as Emergency Management director, effective Jan. 1, 2025. The board approved Holman’s appointment at pay grade 10, step 4, and accepted the job description as presented. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board conducted its routine roll call and approved the meeting minutes from Dec. 3 before moving through commissioners’ reports and the remainder of the agenda. No contentious debate was recorded on the appointments or finance items.
The board adjourned the meeting with a reminder that it will not meet again this calendar year.
