Resident urges Baldwin Road repaving; library director thanks city

Bridgman — During the public-comment period at the Bridgman City Council meeting on Jan. 5, resident Jeff McMorris asked the council whether Baldwin Road could be shaved and repaved because of its poor condition.
Joanne Kunz praised the city’s holiday decorations and commended crews for maintaining sidewalks and roads during inclement weather. Terri Hebert, introduced herself as the Library Director and thanked the council for continued municipal support for the library.
In council comments after public input, City Manager Lambrix announced that starting in February, council meetings will move to the second Monday of each month. Council Member Boyd asked about two unfinished Habitat houses; Building/Zoning Official Mattner said Habitat has a new project manager and contractor and that the city can cancel existing permits and issue new permits under the new contractor. Council Member Bonkoske thanked the Street Department for its winter maintenance work.
The meeting then concluded with routine departmental reports and adjournment at 6:26 p.m.
