The Sanac County Board of Commissioners appointed Rex Hazard to a four-year term on the county transportation board and adopted a resolution recognizing Wendy Willing for more than 30 years of service to county government.
Rex Hazard, who told the board he has lived in the county since 1967 and has two years on the transportation board, answered brief questions from commissioners before a motion to appoint him to a term expiring Dec. 1, 2028 carried by voice vote. Commissioner Roger Ballard and others praised Hazard's automotive experience and his willingness to continue serving.
Later in the meeting, Commissioner Ballard read a resolution commemorating Wendy Willing's more than 30 years of county service, outlining her roles and promotions since 1994; the board adopted the resolution by roll-call vote and presented it to Willing, who posed with commissioners for a photo.
Both actions were routine personnel and recognition matters recorded on the Nov. 19 agenda and adopted with unanimous support.
