Bloomingdale council closes bonds account, approves small payments and donates to Miss Bloomingdale program

At its April 21 meeting the Village of Bloomingdale approved several routine financial and administrative items. Council voted to close the Bonds & Interest account and transfer the remaining $4,510.67 to the Sewer Checking account following loan payoff (motion by J. Crawford, supported by T. Fisher).
Council approved multiple invoices and operating payments recorded in the March financial reports, including Fleis & VandenBrink WWTP operations support invoices and other routine vendor payments recorded in the general fund and sewer fund registers. The clerk and treasurer presented March balances and ordinary revenues; the March General Fund net income was recorded as $1,175.91.
Council also discussed water intrusion and needed repairs at the municipal building and approved a motion authorizing the Village President and Township Supervisor to obtain quotes for diagnosis and repairs; recommendations will return to council at a future meeting (motion by T. Rankin, supported by T. Fisher).
Separately, the council approved a $220 donation toward the Miss Bloomingdale queen’s charm bracelet (motion by R. Empson, supported by T. Rankin) and acknowledged community updates from the Bloomingdale Scholarship Program. The meeting concluded after final public comments and adjournment at 8:44 p.m.
