District rolls out card payments and online ticketing to improve concessions and tracking

Director Brock Carter reported that the district has implemented card‑accepting terminals at concession stands and has begun using the GoFan platform for online ticketing. She said volunteers and community members have responded positively and that online ticketing allowed staff to cap entries at capacity for offsite games.
Carter said the district remains partially cash‑friendly during the transition to allow community acclimation and that the finance office is working to put processes and procedures in place so fundraising and student activity monies are tracked accurately. Treasurer Kraton and several trustees emphasized that improved recordkeeping and alignment with finance procedures are priorities as the district prepares next year’s budget and responds to a state request for a budget plan.
The board discussed the expected timeline to complete the rollout, signage for games and volunteer training. Director Brock Carter said the district hopes to be fully operational with non‑cash options by early February but will accelerate the timeline if possible. Trustees said the change should be accompanied by clear processes for counting and accounting for receipts and that the finance office will return with recommended protocols.
