Beecher trustees approve $114,847.63 in bills, add Safebuilt zoning services and reschedule October meeting

At its Sept. 23 meeting the Village of Beecher Board of Trustees approved payment of bills totaling $114,847.63 and payroll since the previous meeting. Trustee Kraus moved approval, Trustee Tieri seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved a professional services agreement with Safebuilt to add zoning services at a rate of $95 per hour to verify spot surveys for new homes. Trustee Gardner moved the agreement, Trustee Tieri seconded, and the motion carried 4-0 according to the minutes.
President Meyer asked the board to reschedule the Oct. 14 meeting because of the Columbus Day holiday; Trustee Kraus moved to cancel the Oct. 14 meeting and hold it on Tuesday, Oct. 15, Trustee Diachenko seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
Public works items and schedules were also noted separately in the meeting: Superintendent Matt Conner told the board the final brush collection will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, and leaf pickup will begin the week of Oct. 14.
