Trustees raised questions about whether a vape shop operating at the same address is a permitted use in the historic business district and noted that U‑Haul trucks had been parked at the property prior to formal approval; a code violation had been issued for the vape portion of the business.
Trustee Tieri and Trustee Kraus urged that the proprietor follow the same special‑use process other businesses had completed. Administrator Charity Mitchell and trustees said they have scheduled a meeting with the business owner, referred to in the minutes as Mr. Reato, to discuss requirements and compliance steps. Trustee Weissbohn moved to table the permit; the motion passed unanimously (5–0).
Board members asked staff to determine enforcement options should more U‑Haul vehicles be parked at the property than a special‑use permit would allow. No final permit was granted at the meeting.
