Trustee Gianotti resigns from Beecher Board; trustees move to executive session on personnel

Trustee Gianotti read a letter of resignation at the July 22, 2024 Village of Beecher Board meeting, stating the resignation is effective at the end of the meeting due to changes in family obligations. Gianotti thanked fellow trustees, Village staff, Police and Public Works employees and his family. President Meyer said she will speak with individuals who may be interested in filling the vacant Board seat.
Later in the meeting Trustee Gianotti moved (Trustee Stacey seconded) to adjourn into executive session at 7:38 p.m. to discuss specific personnel matters; the motion carried. The Board returned from executive session at 8:20 p.m. on a motion by Trustee Weissbohn (seconded by Trustee Gianotti). The minutes state no personnel details were disclosed during open session.
In new business Administrator Charity Mitchell told the Board that another solar facility is planned at the corner of Western Avenue and Indiana Avenue in Will Township, outside of the Village of Beecher's planning jurisdiction.
The meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
