Beecher trustees approve $427,755 in bills, declare two Public Works vehicles surplus

The Village of Beecher Board of Trustees approved the Treasurer's report and authorized payment of bills and payroll totaling $427,755.00 at its July 22, 2024 meeting.
Trustee Kraus moved to approve the Treasurer's report and Trustee Weissbohn seconded; the motion passed on a vote recorded as six ayes and zero nays. Trustee Kraus then moved to approve payment of the bill list and payroll totaling $427,755.00; Trustee Stacey seconded and the motion carried with six ayes and zero nays.
During the Public Works report the Board recognized crews and mutual-aid agencies for storm cleanup. Trustee Stacey moved (Trustee Gardner seconded) to declare as surplus a 2005 Chevrolet 3500 pickup with Boss snowplow (152,000 miles) and to set a minimum bid; the vehicle is to be sold as-is. The Board then declared a 2006 Chevrolet 3500 mini-dump with Boss snowplow (97,000 miles) surplus on a separate motion by Trustee Stacey, seconded by Trustee Gardner. Both surplus motions passed unanimously.
The Board tabled the purchase of a 2024 Ford 150 until a financial review of the CESFA fund is completed and a new resolution is drafted clarifying how CESFA funds may be spent.
