County approves Rothbury annexation; council notes Planning Commission land-split review

President Vern Talmadge told the Rothbury Village Council that a previously approved annexation also received County Board approval; Planning Commission Chair Mike Harris said a Site Plan Review Committee reviewed a land-split request and will forward it to the village attorney for review.
President Vern Talmadge reported at the Feb. 17 meeting that an annexation the village had previously approved was also approved last week by the County Board of Commissioners.
Planning Commission Chair Mike Harris told the council the Site Plan Review Committee met before the council meeting to review a request for a land split. Harris said he will send the proposal to the Village Attorney for legal review prior to approving the split.
No vote on the land-split request was recorded in the minutes from the Feb. 17 meeting. The minutes note that the council approved prior meeting minutes, received department reports, adopted a festival road-closure resolution and handled a budget amendment for a police vehicle during the session.
