The Easton Board of Selectmen recorded the following formal actions on April 14, 2026:
- Approval of minutes: Selectman Kristi Sogofsky moved to approve the March 19, 2026 meeting minutes (amending the agenda date); Nick D'Addario seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
- Tax refunds: Kristi Sogofsky moved (seconded by Nick D'Addario) to approve a list of tax refunds for multiple taxpayers and leasing trusts; the motion passed unanimously. Individual refund amounts were read into the record.
- National Donate Life flag: Kristi Sogofsky moved to fly the National Donate Life flag for the month of April 2026 beginning April 10; Nick D'Addario seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board thanked Adam Goldstein for donating the flag.
- Thanks and appointments: The board unanimously approved a motion to thank Tom Ganim for his service to the Agricultural Commission and the Land Preservation and Acquisition Authority. A motion to appoint Jonathan Webster to the Agricultural Commission and the Land Preservation and Acquisition Authority was made but was not seconded and therefore did not pass. First Selectman Dan Lent appointed William Karesh as an alternate to the Conservation Commission during the meeting; Kristi Sogofsky asked that some open positions be postponed for later consideration.
- Adjournment: Kristi Sogofsky moved to adjourn at 9:33 p.m.; Nick D'Addario seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
No recordable votes were taken on the Infrastructure Task Force proposal, Purchasing Ordinance updates, or the EMS student live-in lease; those items were referred to staff and board members for drafting and future consideration.
