The RSU 18 board handled multiple routine governance items, approving corrections to minutes, formalizing staff nominations and approving financial warrants.
Minutes: The board accepted edits to the May 20 and June 3 minutes after corrections to dates and clarifications about which policies were to be forwarded for first readings.
Personnel: The board approved nominations and formal appointments that had been issued under prior authorization, including coaching hires Erin Parker (boys varsity soccer) and Hope Staker (girls JV volleyball), district hires Caleb Puland (Apple repair technician) and Charles Ellen Owen (technology support specialist), returning assistant special services director Christina Ferrer, grade‑4 teacher Bo Mercier and middle‑school science teacher Lindsay Molton. Board members confirmed contracts had already been issued and the approvals were a formal ratification.
Warrants and votes: The board approved the computation and declaration of votes and assessment warrants unanimously.
Several members asked for follow‑up agenda items: an administrator performance report, job description and evaluation method for a newly created dean of students position, superintendent goals for the next year, and a discussion about graduation ceremony logistics.
