Superintendent: summer programs wrap, orientations set; district lists key open leadership positions

Ms. McFarlane reported summer school has ended and summer professional development continues, including a newcomers summit at Michigan State University and a five‑day Kagan training. She said Croswell Summer Camp will end in mid‑August; building offices will open the week of Aug. 11 and new‑teacher orientation is scheduled for Aug. 19–21.
McFarlane also provided a hiring update and timeline, identifying open positions including a Special Services Supervisor, RHS Academy Principal, RMS Assistant Principal, Hamilton‑Parsons Social Worker and several teaching vacancies. Dr. Robinson later noted that two district priorities relating to an Operations Department supervisor position and academies‑connected programming funding are on hold pending clarity on the school aid budget.
