Superintendent Dr. Robinson reported status updates on several construction projects across the Romeo Community Schools district.
Dr. Robinson said new furniture for the Administration Building will be delivered this week, allowing staff to return to the first floor. Elementary playground projects remain on schedule. He said parking‑lot work is in process at Hamilton‑Parsons and Hevel, and that change orders and sinking‑fund work addressed the RMS sidewalk, Croswell parking lot and undercut work previously approved at a July 14 meeting.
At Romeo Middle School, Dr. Robinson said the east parking lot is on track to be operational by early August, with the bus loop and west side of the building to be final elements of that project. He noted the 9GA renovation is the most comprehensive and is not expected to be completed this summer; RHS interior renovation and courtyard work are progressing, with concrete expected before school starts and synthetic grass installation planned for the fall.
Dr. Robinson described some challenges with the lunch serving area in one renovation and said two Group‑4 priorities (an operations supervisor position and academy‑connected programming funding) are on hold pending clarity on the school aid budget.
