School board approves 2024–2027 Library Media Education Plan

The Oregon School District School Board unanimously approved the 2024–2027 Library Media Education Plan at its Nov. 11, 2024 meeting.
Superintendent Jon Tanner presented the plan and answered questions from board members during discussion. Board President Krista Flanagan and board members participated in the review; Heather Garrison moved the motion to approve and Dr. Mary Lokuta seconded. In a roll call vote the motion passed 7-0.
The board noted that the Teaching and Learning Update was included in the Library Media Plan discussion and therefore no separate Teaching and Learning report was presented that evening. The superintendent also referenced additional materials available online at the district’s board webpage.
The approval will guide library and media staffing, curricular alignment and resource planning for the next three school years. The board discussion included questions from members but minutes do not record specific amendments or changes to the plan.
The board’s next substantive agenda items include committee meetings for Vision and Policy and routine district reports; the meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
