The adoption came after a public comment period in which a community member asked about content knowledge areas for the Amplify curriculum. Board members who spoke in support cited improvements tied to the district’s Core Knowledge Language Arts work and expressed optimism about stronger reading skills aiding student performance across subjects. The board recorded the motion as carried unanimously.
