Northfield COA reports program lineup, Neighbors at Home earmark and Friends fundraising plans

Director Colleen Letourneau reviewed recent and upcoming programming: a Registry of Motor Vehicles speaker on older drivers in February was well received; March 19 will feature a Cyber Seniors program on artificial intelligence; March 18 will include a LifePath presentation on a proposed Respite Co-op prompted by the loss of a senior day-care program. Colleen also announced that "Happy Little Feet" returns March 30, with a planned walk to Northfield Elementary School and an intergenerational activity with kindergartners.
Betty Whitcomb reported that Neighbors at Home is discussing how to spend a $10,000 earmark obtained by Sen. Jo Comerford; planned events include an April 10 children’s concert by Thomas Aquinas College (jointly sponsored with the Dickinson Memorial Library) and a brunch at Zeke's on the first Saturday in May. Friends of Northfield Seniors are planning a donation drive at the corner of Routes 10 and 63, ordering T-shirts and exploring a "Bingo at the Brewery" event; their account balance was unchanged from last month.
Meg reported no new items from the Community Preservation Committee. The board adjourned at 2:30 p.m.; the next regular meeting is April 21.
