Summary
At its March 17 meeting the Select Board approved payroll and vendor warrants, accepted two resignations, approved minutes, and appointed election and water district officers; the board also signed a corrected sustainable purchasing policy and a letter of support for an Erving grant application.
The Northfield Select Board on March 17 approved routine financial warrants and several personnel and committee actions.
Warrants approved included the March 4 payroll warrant for $106,888.29 and vendor warrant for $201,947.78, and the March 18 payroll warrant for $105,606.62 and vendor warrant for $383,389.83. The board also voted to approve the minutes of Feb. 17, 2026.
In personnel actions the board accepted the resignation of Dan Campbell as assistant Town Clerk effective June 5, 2026, and accepted the resignation of Devon van der Maat as a summer program counselor for the Recreation Commission. The board appointed Martha Tenney as an election officer (term to Aug. 15, 2026) and appointed Libby Volkening to the Grandin Water District open seat (term to June 30, 2027). Motions were moved and seconded as recorded in the minutes; individual vote tallies were not provided in the meeting record.
Separately, the Select Board voted to sign a corrected version of the Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Preferable Procurement / Sustainable Purchasing Policy and voted to accept and sign a letter of support for the Town of Erving’s ECO One Stop application for the Keyup Brook Watershed project, which would include a bridge beginning in Northfield.
