Glen Arbor Township board adopts FY 2026–27 budget, approves year-end bills, budget amendments and River Club run

The board, with Clerk Pam Laureto, Treasurer Donald Lewis and Trustees John DePuy and Bob Hawley present, acted on a series of motions that the minutes record as unanimous.
Clerk Pam Laureto presented General Fund bills for March 18–29, 2026 totaling $10,847.60. Treasurer Donald Lewis moved to approve payment of the General Fund bills; Trustee John DePuy supported the motion, which the minutes record as carried unanimously. Laureto then presented Fire Department (GLFD) bills for the same period totaling $18,505.91; Lewis moved and Trustee Bob Hawley seconded approval, and the motion carried unanimously.
Pam Laureto reviewed Resolution #8-2026, described in the minutes as the FY 2025–2026 Township Budget Amendments #2, highlighting line items that needed increases or decreases. Trustee John DePuy moved to adopt Resolution #8-2026 and Trustee Bob Hawley supported the motion; a roll call vote is recorded in the minutes listing Hawley, Lewis, DePuy, Pam Laureto and Tom Laureto voting aye, and the Supervisor declared the motion passed.
She then reviewed Resolution #9-2026, FY 2025–2026 GLFD Budget Amendments #3. Treasurer Donald Lewis moved and Trustee Bob Hawley supported adoption; the minutes record a roll call listing D. Lewis, B. Hawley, J. DePuy, P. Laureto and T. Laureto as voting aye and state the motion passed. The minutes also contain an internal inconsistency for this item, listing J. Clerk Pam Laureto noted a Public Budget Hearing held March 17, 2026 and said there had been eight changes to the proposed FY 2026–2027 budget since that hearing. The minutes identify several of those adjustments by category — MTA dues, Board of Review publishing, assessing and tax program maintenance, race permits, gas, electric and cemetery — but do not enumerate all eight specific changes. Treasurer Donald Lewis moved and Trustee Bob Hawley supported approval of the proposed FY 2026–2027 budget by cost center; the minutes record the vote as unanimous and the motion passed.
Separately, the board reviewed a River Club proposal to host a 5K and 10K run on Sept. 12, 2026. Trustee Bob Hawley moved to approve the proposal with the stipulation that the River Club mail a postcard with run details to all route residents; Treasurer Donald Lewis supported the motion, which the minutes record as carried unanimously.
