Glen Arbor Township — The township clerk told the Glen Arbor Township Board on Jan. 20 that the township office telephone system needs updating and that she has started collecting quotes to present at a future meeting. She also informed the board that she has begun working with the township's website designer to ensure compliance with ADA Title II accessibility requirements, with a compliance deadline of April 26, 2027.
Clerk Pamela Laureto presented the need for the phone-system update; she did not provide vendor names or cost estimates at the meeting and said quotes will be presented at a later date. On ADA compliance, Laureto said the clerk's office has begun collaborating with the website designer to bring the township's website, mobile applications and digital services into compliance with Title II regulations ahead of the stated deadline.
The board did not take formal action on either item at the meeting; both were presented as updates and will return for further consideration when the clerk has cost estimates and a compliance plan.
