The Dearborn Heights School District #7 Board of Education recorded the following formal outcomes at its Dec. 4, 2024 meeting.
Agenda approval: The board accepted the Dec. 4 agenda as presented. The motion was moved by Trustee Sterlini, seconded by Trustee Bowski, and carried by roll call (Trustee Anderson, Trustee Belowski, Trustee Dyro, Trustee Gator, Trustee Sterlini and Trustee Wall voted 'yes'; Trustee Winlist was absent).
Organizational meeting: The board approved a resolution to hold its annual organizational meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at O'Best Middle School. The motion was moved by Trustee Sterlini, seconded by Trustee Palowski, and carried by roll call.
Policy first reading: The board approved on first reading a package of revised NEOLA board policies, including conflict-of-interest policies, grant and federal-funds policies, procurement and travel reimbursement rules, and property-inventory policies (policy numbers listed in the packet). The motion carried by roll call.
Band trips: The board approved two Annapolis High School trips: the MSBOA District band adjudication (March 6 or 7, 2025) and a May 17, 2025 trip to Sandusky/Cedar Point. Both motions carried by roll call.
Adjournment: The board adjourned the meeting at 8:17 p.m.; the motion to adjourn carried by roll call.
